Pastor's Welcome

I am glad that you found our website! I am not sure what you are looking for but I know that God's word has an answer for your concern. I have just become the new pastor here at the First Baptist Church of Aurora and a new chapter is beginning. There is a feeling of uncertainty because even I am not sure what direction God will lead myself and the church. What I do know is that this church is expanding in many different ways. Our new facility located right off of the highway is in a constant state of change. Little by little, more rooms are being completed and the last thing to be completed will be the sanctuary.

Our lives are the same way. They are in a constant state of change especially when we are God's children. God challenges us but he never gives us more than we can handle. I pray that the disciples of this church will become involved so that they can grow in Christ together. The body of Christ is too important for us to spend our days living in seclusion. People of faith are called to worship the living God and to support one another through difficult times. Do you feel that you need someone to understand the difficulties of your life? Then prayer is the answer because God is always waiting for us to call out to him in prayer. Worshipping with other believers is the way that we share and experience what it is to be a Christian. Please come and join this Christian body for worship and the other activities that are being created to expand our ministry outreach.

We are not here to make anyone uncomfortable but we are here to affirm the fact that we are all searching for the truth and knowledge that can only be found through fellowship with other Christians and the Bible. We extend that invitation to you. Please come and worship the living God who seeks to make us all whole through his son, Jesus Christ.

If you have prayer concerns or a need that we can address, please don't hesitate to call the church. The church is not just a building but represents every believer who calls Jesus the Lord of their life. We are here to be supportive and to bear one another's burdens. Please come and join us when you can.
