We are called by God, through Jesus Christ, to be witnesses of faith, stewards of fellowship, and disciples of service. The First Baptist Church of Aurora supports the following missions through financial patronage and volunteer service.

Youth Missions

Westport Youth Camp: The purpose of the Southeastern Baptist Youth Camp is to provide a camp for Christian training and fellowship for the American Baptist Churches of Indiana, and especially those of the southeastern region of the state.  All Christian groups and persons interested in Christian camping are welcome.

Local Missions

Heart House: The Heart House, a local homeless shelter, was built in 2002 to serve citizens in need of temporary housing.

Edna Martin: The Edna Martin Christian Center in Indianapolis, Indiana provides Christian ministry and service to the inner city.

Good News Club: The Good News Club is an after-school program that teaches children about Christ. We currently have a good number of volunteers from the church who work in the Aurora Elementary School program.

Habitat for Humanity: Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit, nondenominational Christian housing organization, that brings families and communities together to build simple, decent, affordable, houses in partnership with those in need of adequate shelter.

Building Fund: First Baptist Church of Aurora is finishing more Sunday School rooms.

National Missions

America for Christ: The America for Christ offering is the American Baptist response to the needs of home missions within and beyond the local congregation in witness and service for Christ. Gifts are to fund home mission, educational, national, regional, and local community ministries.

World-wide Missions

One Great Hour of Sharing: One Great Hour of Sharing is a non-profit ministry that provides for the needy all over the world. It represents the disaster relief, refugee response, and long-term development work of ten Protestant denominations. Most of its focus is oversees, but it also recognizes and supports similar needs in the United States.

World Mission Offering: The World Mission is dedicated to spreading the glory of God and to bringing all people to worship and obey God, as revealed in the Lord Jesus Christ. The Mission also engages in a variety of activities toward ensuring, that each distinct people group is "reached"--that a viable movement is established to evangelize and disciple each people group.
