On February 20, 2011, we celebrated God's faithfulness as we "officially" moved in to our new sanctuary.  It was a great day!  But we're not only about looking back - we're about moving forward.  Watch this video.

What makes a church "special"?  There are a number of churches within a short distance of Aurora, IN., and each offers a variety of programs, styles and beliefs.  What makes a church "special" is the way truth and grace are lived out in the lives of the people in that church.  As you can read below - we're not perfect.  No church is!  But we're committed to caring for people, showing the love of Jesus to those He brings our way.  So come on over - we'll see you this Sunday!
Connect

Connect

A big part of church is the relationships you develop with people and ministry.  We are constantly looking for opportunities to connect with people.  If you're looking for a place to serve others... then get connected.  If you're looking for a place to exercise your gifts and grow in your spiritual life... then get connected!  Visit this Sunday and talk to us about it!

Each week our Pastor opens the Bible and shares with us what God has placed on his heart. You can listen to the messages, read the Scripture and download the audio file.  Check it out!

Seeking to Love, Share, and Serve Christ with our Neighbors

Welcome to Aurora Baptist Church's website.

We're a group of people who chose to worship and fellowship together in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Our goal is to glorify God the Father in the power of His Holy Spirit as a community of faithful and loving people.  Honestly? - We're people just like you - so that's really hard to do sometimes - but we keep on trying.  Jesus boiled down what it means to be a Christian to two basic commands:  Love God with everything you have - Love your neighbor as yourself.  In trying to do that, we continually pray for and seek God’s will. We look for opportunities to be a blessing to our neighbors and we'd love you to come and experience that with us.

We are affiliated with the American Baptist Church of U.S.A.

We hope the information found here will help you to understand more fully who we are and what we believe - feel free to browse around, listen to a sermon or two - then come and see us this Sunday!

Prayer Gatherings

Friday Evenings at 6:00pm - This is not a structured, time gathering - come and go at your own discretion. Choose a seat within our Sanctuary that will allow you to be comfortable, enabling you to free your mind of the daily clutter, placing all your focus on Praise and Prayer with GOD through immersion in the Word, Meditation, or Journaling.

There is something that happens when we worship GOD together with other believers - it helps us to discover that our lives as followers of Christ are tied up with one another. Prayer is action - it becomes a force that ignites change in the world around you. Be encouraged to invite others to attend with you.

We have Bibles and a supply of journals. The Communion Table is set with the Bread and Cup. At FBC we believe in Open Communion - those who believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior are invited to particiate. Communion will be done on an individual basis - anytme duing your Prayer time or upon leaving.

Come out and join us for this special time for Praise and Prayer with GOD!

Experiencing God Series

Come and participate in the 12-week "Experiencing God" Series. The congregation is studying from the Experiencing God workbooks during the week, which prepares them for Pastor Bill's sermons.  Wednesday night Bible Study will take the study even deeper, with group discussions led by Pastor Bill.

From the authors..."When we first wrote Experiencing God in 1990, we didn't realize the enormity of the spiritual hunger in the hearts and lives of God's people to experience God. They knew there had to be much more to the Christian life than more and more activity, but they didn't know what was missing, nor did they know what to do about it. They longed to experience God!"  Authors:  Henry & Richard Blackaby and Claude King
